Fractions

A fraction is a part of a whole, and it is easier to understand when you can see it. That is why it starts with pictures and only later goes on to calculating with them.

What you practise

  • Recognising which part of a picture is painted and choosing the matching fraction.
  • Starting with halves and quarters, going on to thirds and fifths and reaching more parts.
  • Adding fractions with the same denominator and finding a fraction of an amount, for older children.
  • Adding fractions with different denominators, at the highest level.

How it adapts

Calculating with fractions is only offered from a certain age; before that, it is done with pictures. The step-by-step help explains a similar example, never appears by itself and counts for nothing.

Not loading on match days?

During football matches, some internet providers in Spain block addresses that a huge number of websites share, and that can lock you out of OXI Kids for a while. It is not a fault with your phone or the app, and nothing you have done is lost. Try another DNS (on Android: Settings → Private DNS → one.one.one.one), a VPN or the 1.1.1.1 app, or come back when the match is over.
